I got the setlist and a couple of drumsticks, but I'm too tired to post tonight. You really missed out. It was an awesome concert. One of the highlights was meeting Dave's dad. What a cool guy he is!

well i hate to say this but hft(hot for teacher)seemed like they were pushing their songs fast, and although the guitarist was good, the band did not seemed
together.
there were many tonight for y and t, including hft so the first band was not that good.

with about 600 people the place sure looked packed compared to night ranger?i think there were 250 people there.

so with the more crowd along comes dave and the band.they looked well rested an they knew the crowd was ready.

unfornately i did not right down the setlist, but they opened with open fire.
then into lipstick and leather.barroom boogie, then i forgot till they played
winds of change, summertime girls............................................. ..........
mean streak
no eyes of a stranger, no rythmn or not,no alcohol,no all american boy,no 10lovers
dirty girl, forever, rescue me were there but i think with the small stage it just
seemed tone down some,as compared to petaluma, which there is no comparison.
and then comes the part where i must mention:nancy says i told you so.
yes there was a fight, security was poor and very late, and i think if it wasn't for the love in the crowd for y and t the melee would have escalated.
with that in mind i thought it sucked and i will reconsider my patronage to the avalon, besides that, my wife had her head whacked by a camera, and that
guy almost found himself out on the floor.

no nancy wasn't there as far as i know, i don't know her.my wife is a big girl
and she took it well.keeping me from taking my 280lbs. 6'2'' ass all over the guy.i just at 48 went to see the band and it is regretable that this shit happ-ens but people are people, and when you mix it with drinks this is pretty much what to expect.
however they could have put a couple of security guys on each stage end
and that would help ending the fighting.
i like the mystic and will stay with that.

Default I Just got home after a great show !

I know that Hft had a strict 45 minute time limit and wanted to get in a fell set However Terry was very good I dont know what show Eagle saw but the show I saw was very good. I was pleased to see the growth in security however it sure goes to show security is better if the team knows the sets. Once the fight was broke up every damn security person escorted some little dude outside they should have left security in place for the last 4 songs.

Terry Ripped through a flawless set of tracks the band was very tight so again I dont have a clue what eagle is talking about. And I know that the club was pleased as they asked HFT to return for a future date. For the last two songs HFT had 2 models on stage these girls were so Hot that I felt like I was 18 again! Jimmi Ward was right on on the bass and Larry was is typical awesome self the songs were in perfict time and the vocals were dead on Terry got a Huge ovation when he wraped up each solo and eruptions close was met with a defining roar !

Y&T well the first thing one would notice about Y&t tonight would be the absince of that great old set of white luidwigs in their sted was a shiny new set of Champagine Luidwigs this set sounded great ! Dave was in rare form tonight I feel he was aware of how good Terry had Played and Dave is not one to be out played I have to say after seeing every 2004 show in california The First Show in 2005 was the best show I have seen this group of 4 play since the ever improving John Nymann has been with the band this growth curve of improvment wa capped by the band Having One Hell of a good time tonight they did some very cool stuff John seems to be very at home on the stage this year he was Loose and the music was tight Phil and his Member were also their usual big presence. As stated by Dave.

Daves solo was damn good and it was appriciated by the whole place including the guys from Hot For Teacher. The show In my Opinion was great and the Opening act was awesome! Y&T was great and the Avalon is on its way to becoming a premier club.

The Avalon is clearly a club in growth they have done a lot of work in one year since the last show I saw there they removed all of the private rooms on the east end of the bar the sound on that end was not supported by speakers which left that end a little flat I walked to each area of the vinue and found there are sweet spots and flat spots accoustically but the remodel was very well done. if the club was lacking anything it was vetran security and a whole building heat exausting fan.

Anytime you have that many people that loose you will have at least one altercation IMHO the fans of the couth bay are like Raider Fans and they do not live by the northbay 49er mentality they rock hard the drink hard and they Kick Ass

I give the show 4 3/4 stars and will be attending many more shows at the Avalon as I know first hand that the ownership and managment are making ledgit attempts to improve the club and they deserve the support of the rock and roll community at large.

The Dude!
