I'm seeing a pattern here that I don't understand. I remember the first case like this - Mary Kay Laterno. Then another case. Then, the case that came out a few months ago. That teacher was a hottie. Now this case in Tennessee with Mrs. Turner. Have you seen her picture? She's extremely hot. This is contrast to what I saw when I went to meganslaw.com to find out who the molesters are in my town. These guys all look old, short, fat, balding, and twisted. None of them could get laid on their own merits. But, these women that we are seeing on the news getting busted for chasing 13 year-old boys - That's a different story. Do yourself a favor. At my 10-year high school reunion I bumped into the lady who coached girls track and swimming when I was in high school. This lady was beautiful. Blond hair to her rump, perfect tan legs, beautiful. She was always wearing those little Dolphin running shorts - deadly. At my reunion I told her that I had a crush on her in high school. I read the article and I am at a loss for words. What was this person thinking ? If this was a guy instead of a girl it would be the electric chair. I don't think this lady would have had much of a problem at the local bar getting some male friends she could teach new educational skills.

I was carrying some boxes of my things into the alleged victims house. I walked down the stairs to the basement when I tripped. The victim, whom I was only friends with at the time, was at the bottom of the stairs helping me move. Fearing for my safety, I reached out with my arms to brace for the fall. Well, if I was 13 I would have wanted her myself. Damn she's gorgeous. Too much blame is put on the older one. Any 13 year old boy would love to have that kind of attention from an older woman. But, its still the older womans decision to know right from wrong.

This case reminds me of something my grandpa once told me. He is 13 years older than my grandmother. He told me he remembers changing her diapers and watching her play in the fields when she was a very young girl. He married her when she was 13 and had their first child at 14. These situations were common place 50-60 years ago. Wierd how times change.

In the realm of legal dating I know for sure that men in their 20's are typically dating divorced women who are 40 or more. To me that makes sense. When I was 21 I had a lady friend who was 40. She was 10 times the woman of any girl I knew in her 20s at that time. I know several very beautiful women in thier 40s who are fit to be tied, sexually. Your average guy in his 40s isn't gonna be able to take care of it.

Regarding the illegal stuff..there certainly is a double standard. If my son, in high school, wrestled with somebody like our girls' track coach I wouldn't be nearly as upset as his mother. ;)

Female teacher charged with sex offenses against 13-year-old

McMINNVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Warren County elementary teacher has been charged with having a consensual sexual relationship with one of her students, a 13-year-old boy.

Pamela Rogers Turner, 27, was charged Monday with 15 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and 13 counts of statutory rape. All the charges involved the same boy.

She is free on $50,000 bond. Turner has been placed on leave, school system director of instruction Bobby Cox said.

A telephone message left at the home of her father, Lamar Rogers, a coach at Clarkrange High School, was not immediately returned Tuesday evening.

Turner teaches physical education and coached girls basketball at Centertown Elementary, a Warren County school with grades kindergarten through eight in McMinnville.

District Attorney General Dale Potter said investigators believe some of the offenses happened at the school and some at the boy's home. Others may have transpired during out-of-town games in other counties, and there could be charges in the other counties from the alleged incidents, he said.

Turner lived at the boy's house "for a brief period of time when she was moving from residence to residence," Potter said Tuesday. The boy's parents knew she was living there but didn't know anything about a sexual relationship, he said.

Potter declined comment on the nature of the relationship between Turner and her student, but said investigators discovered multiple acts of sexual intercourse between November and January.

"It's attracting attention because it's a female teacher, and that's a little out of the ordinary," Potter said. "But for us, a sex abuse case is a sex abuse case."

Turner is in the process of divorce from Chris Turner, who is the head boys basketball coach at Warren County High School, the Southern Standard newspaper in McMinnville reported Tuesday. They were married in July 2003, and Chris Turner filed for divorce Jan. 14, citing inappropriate marital conduct by Pamela Turner.

Turner was arrested Monday in Clarkrange, her hometown in Fentress County about 55 miles northeast of McMinnville, Potter said.

Conviction on all counts could be punished by up to 100 years in prison. Potter said it was more likely that a conviction would mean a minimum of a year to several years in prison.

Arraignment was scheduled for Feb. 23.

Turner was praised by people throughout the community Tuesday and portrayed as a supportive teacher and basketball coach.

"She coached my granddaughter and she just cried when she saw the news on TV," said Christine Medley, who works at a local diner. "I've always thought of her as a nice lady."

Pamela Turner's father has won more than 800 games and seven state championships. Turner was a senior on his 1995 state title team.

Turner is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a degree in education. She was named "Ms. Monday Nitro" during broadcasts by World Championship Wrestling from spring break in Florida in 1997.

I understand that back in the day people got married much younger and society didn't look down upon this tradition at the time. The main problem is that this lady is in a profession were you need to be a role model to others. You are not getting paid to pick up the students etc. If you are unsure about your morals or lack of morals then go seek counseling. She could have also asked for stress leave from her job until she dealt with the divorce from hubby. I hear her lawyer is going for a temp insanity case which probably would be smart. Like I said before this girl would have NO problem getting male companionship at the local bar.

In my high school the shop teacher use to help coach girls soccer. Sure enough word went around that he was doing a grade 11. They kept seeking each other until she graduated and a little time after. Acutally, I started my dating life as naive Mr. Sensitive Guy. Imagine spending your first 30 years like that. My wife go round and round over this but I can't let my son grow up like that. I want him to know all the facts as he grows up and to be smart enough to make the right decisions based on all the facts. But, if somebody doesn't know all the facts (like I didn't) - isn't that what "stupid" means? Yeah, I was stupid. I should get a medal for the action I've turned down in my youth. Dumbass... I spent a couple of years teaching college and I got hit on a lot and truthfully even the 18 to 20 year olds seemed way too young to date. There is no way I would date a guy who can't order a drink with dinner.

Well, I never did the booty call thing. Too many people I knew got STD's or HIV +. I was very innocent, by choice, growing up. I saw a lot of girls freak out once they started sex at a young age and I was determined not to have that happen.

this sounds SO MUCH like me in my teens and early twenties!! i did figure it out before thirty though! (THANK GOODNESS) as far as this topic i was just playen around earlier in the thread! it is what it is! this woman molested this boy plain and simple! the rules should apply equaly to her as the would to any man that did this! the point i was trying to make is that! the rules usualy DO NOT! apply equaly to woman in this situation as they would a man!! society in general just seems to be more accepting to this when the adult is a woman than when the adult is a man! wonder why that is!!???! hhmmmm!

I am glad people are at least seeing that it should be the same form of punishment whether it be a male or female but the reality of the situation is that she will be punish way less than if it were a man. Hence, the phrase everyone is equal but some individuals are MORE equal than others. The mental instability of her actions will be the sword with which her lawyer will get her a reduced sentence when this goes to trial. Of course having 13 charges against her tells me if she would have not been caught more than likely she would have continued on and on and on.
