Just who or what is a "google spider"? I see that frequently when I'm checking the Who's Online section.............

We talked about this some time ago. There was something like 500 users on line at one time (a record?), but it was attributed to spiders. Somebody who is much more knowledgeable about this stuff than me stated that it has something to do with Google electronically checking out the website in some way.....Big brother is watching us.

Google is a fully automated search engine, which employs robots known as 'spiders' to crawl the web on a monthly basis and find sites for inclusion in the Google index. Since this process does not involve human editors, it is NOT necessary to submit your site to Google in order to be included in our index. In fact, the vast majority of sites listed are not manually submitted for inclusion

Its just google updating their pages about our forum
