I have the wireless Officejet model and love it. It's not the most spectacular scanner on earth, but it does the job quite effectively.

My only complaint is that the fax part of it is a little "wonky" sometimes. Other than that... GREAT machine!

I bought a Brother MFC-5440cn for $100 @ officemax.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1994506,00.asp

Prints, scans, faxes from PC. Standalone copier and fax machine. Network connector. Automatic document feeder.

Print isnt picture quality but it does it all and i buy printers based on the price of the ink.
The ink for this is at meritline.com cheap. 24 carts for $26 !

Just printed electronic "tickets" for my daughters to fly down & visit me next weekend. :D
It's really just a page with the depart & arrive info & seat numbers & price paid & so on.
Now I'm taking it to give to my daughters when I meet 'em in SF tomorrow.
They're excited about flying for the first time.
It'll be cool to show 'em how I'm fixin' up my home & show 'em around my hometown & Hollywood.
Today we ride the carousel in Golden Gate Park. It's been closed when we've tried before.

Anyway...printers are gooood. :p
