Myron and Dennis Chambers stopped over the house in Feb (along with former Santana singer Tony Lindsay) for movies and drink. Myron always talked about the 3 of us getting together some day. Ya never know.

I "discovered" Dennis when I bought an hold John Scoffield live CD (at least I think it's Scoffield). I bought it to hear great jazz guitar, of course, but ended up listening to the drummer more and more and thinking "who the heck is this guy!?" Asked a drummer friend of mine about the guy and he said "Oh yeah, that guy's the shit!"

Dennis Chambers used to be the drummer for the Funkadelic All-Star Band! He started to play clubs at the age of 6!!

Yes!! He is on a cd called "Pick Hits" The John Scofield Band Live! Amazing!! I have his two drumming videos as well which really show the master at work!! He also just recorded a cd call the "Boston "T" Party" with Jef Berlin on bass! Dennis is all over the place!! I try to buy his every release!! I believe Dennis is also on the Buddy Rich Memorial Tapes where he displays an arsenal of triplets that would blow your mind into a million tiny fragments of pulp! His drumming can bring baby tears to the eye he is so good!

Dave if you read this post, I really hope you will make musical magic with Myron and Dennis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really is an incredible idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Rory Gallagher would say: "Let's go to work!"

You know, it's obvious after studying that picture a little closer that Myron had just let one fly... and Dave was just starting to feel the ill effects of it. Dennis heard it, and thinks that it's kinda funny. :D

Anyone else see that?

Oh man - the thought of you three doing a project......speechless!

I saw Dennis with John McLaughlin and Joey DeFrancesco at Palookaville in 1994 and was mesmerized! If I remember correctly, they only played 3 songs, but the show lasted nearly 2 hours!

Dennis' single handed/kick rolls are something to see and hear. One of the greatest drummers ever!
